Thank you for visiting the website for the Calvert County State's Attorney's Office. I began my legal career as a line prosecutor in the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office in 1989. In 1998, I accepted the position of Deputy State's Attorney in the Calvert County State's Attorney's Office under then State's Attorney Robert Riddle. It was extremely satisfying to serve in the county where my family and I have lived since 1994. It is my distinct honor to now serve as the State's Attorney. During the past ten years, this office and our County have seen some dramatic changes. Responding to the challenges posed by these changes, our office has developed a unique and close working relationship with our law enforcement partners -- the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, the Maryland State Police, the Department of Natural Resources Police, and the State Fire Marshal's Office. Our office prosecutes over 6,000 criminal, incarcerable traffic, and juvenile cases every year, as well as handles nearly 300 child support cases. The dedicated and professional prosecutors who work in this Office are here to serve the public, and seek justice in an aggressive and fair manner on behalf of the victims of crime.
